The presidential election is fast approaching, and Metro Boomin is stepping up to voice his thoughts. The Atlanta producer announces his “Young Metro Don’t Trust Trump” concert at Playstation Theater in NYC on Nov. 4.

The tentative show date is slated for just four days before the election. Metro tells Complex, “With the election coming, I think it’s time to speak out, and not like speak out by getting extra political with this shit, but let people know. So letting y’all know I don’t trust him, you don’t trust him and go ahead and celebrate that.”

He continues, “And also, people love coming to concerts and coming together, though at the same time it’s not all about that, but sharing the message and the same view. With it so close to the election, I thought, let’s have this concert and celebrate this and all agree that we can’t have this guy as our President.”

Metro will donate all proceeds from the show to establish a college scholarship fund. Every year, this fund will send one graduating high school senior from the greater St. Louis area to attend Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia — the same path that Metro took from high school to college.

In other Metro-related news, the ATL beatmaker just turned 23 years old. It’s wild to think about all the things he’s accomplished at such a young age. He’s crafted some of hip-hop’s biggest songs in the last three years: everything from Future’s “Honest” and iLoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday” to Travi$ Scott’s “3500,” Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1″ and Lil Uzi Vert’s “You Was Right.” XXL talked to Metro last fall about where he first drew his inspirations for his signature sound.

He said, “At that time I listened to a lot of Gucci Mane, a lot of Jeezy, Drumma Boy; stuff like that that sounded kind of dark. I listened to a lot of Three 6 Mafia coming up, that was a huge part of it. Even the way they put their beats together, if you go back and look at their music you could see like, ‘Okay, he was definitely inspired by them.’”
