Cardi B Responds After Blogger Tasha K Says She Can't Afford To Pay The Rapper $4 Million In Defamation Lawsuit

Posted by BreAnna Bell on Thursday, March 3, 2022 Under: #GORILLAHITTT 84.8FM LOS ANGELES

Following their recent defamation lawsuit, Tasha K, whose real name is LaTasha Kebe, was ordered to pay Cardi B over $4 million, but the blogger told Kendall Kyndall and Kendra G on Social Society “I ain’t got it.”

“Don’t ask me for no money. I ain’t got it. But listen, we have business things in place that takes care of things like this. But of course, the appellate court and the Supreme Court is in process right now," she told the hosts, promising that she would appeal the court's decision, according to Hollywood Unlocked. “That’s what appellate court is for. Who’s trying to pay $4 million?

Cardi B responded to Tasha K's interview with a message of her own. Without directly naming the blogger online, she told her followers that she was not taking the comment lightly.

“Think [it’s] a game but trust imma come for everything…BBHMM,” she tweeted, likely referencing Rihanna's song "B***h Better Have My Money."

She also posted a clip from Rihanna's music video for the song but quickly followed up with another short note saying that her label reps told her to delete her previous tweets.

“My music reps just [called] me to take it down…I can’t never have fun," she wrote on Twitter.

Cardi B testified in January as part of the defamation lawsuit that Tasha K knowingly spread lies about the public figure through her platform, Unwine With Tasha K, which damaged her mental health and led her to seek mental help for her "extremely suicidal" thoughts.

"Kebe published multiple false and defamatory statements about Plaintiff, including that Plaintiff was a prostitute, that Plaintiff was a user of cocaine, that Plaintiff had and still has herpes,” the lawsuit read, per CNN. “By making and publishing the statements, and campaign of harassing videos, including the Defamatory Videos, Defendants were intending to cause Plaintiff emotional distress.”

The court ordered Kebe to pay $1.5 million in punitive damages, $1 million for pain and suffering, nearly $1.3 million for Cardi's attorney fees, $500,000 in reimbursement and $25,000 for her medical expenses.
