      A Franklin Township man who shot and killed an 18-year-old woman and then casually ordered a pizza and recorded a video of himself singing about his crime and posted it on social media was sentenced Thursday to 27 years in state prison.

      Tamar Reaves, 20, pleaded guilty on April 2 to aggravated manslaughter and two weapons-related charges, according to a release from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

      Reaves followed Chamari Webb from a convenience store to her relative’s home on Battle Place in Franklin Township on Aug. 9, 2017 at 7:50 a.m., and then shot her in the back of the neck with a 9mm handgun, officials said.

      After shooting Webb, he went to a friend’s home before ultimately going to his grandmother’s house in town.

      “Once there, he ordered a pizza and made several posts to various social media accounts, including a photo of the pizza, as well as a video of himself singing the lyrics of a song which mirrored the circumstances of the shooting he just committed,” the release stated.

      The prosecutor’s office did not say what motivated Reaves to shoot Webb but authorities have said that they knew each other and that she was his intended target.

      Portions of the shooting were captured on surveillance cameras at local business and homes which helped investigators identify Reaves and arrest him on the same day he committed the crime, prosecutors said.

      The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms also assisted in his capture as they were conducting an unrelated investigation of Reaves and found that he had a 9mm handgun that was the same one he used to shoot Webb.
