      Second Arrest Made In Double Homicide Of Doe B And Kimberle Johnson

      As another suspect turns himself in, families and friends of Kimberle Johnson and Doe B prepare for the victims' upcoming funerals, set to be held in Montgomery on Saturday.
      Just days after the murder of Alabama rapper Doe B, the untimely homicide of the budding MC continues to send chills through the rap world, and now, after authorities made their first arrest Sunday evening, charging Jason McWilliams, 25, with two counts of capital murder, a second arrest has been made.

      According to a local NBC affiliate, Montgomery detectives say 25-year-old Darius Thomas, also a Montgomery native, turned himself in Wednesday night and was charged with two counts of capital murder in the deaths of 21-year-old Kimberle Johnson and 22-year-old Doe B, born Glenn Thomas. 


      Both McWilliams and Thomas are facing the same charges of capital murder and are currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Facility. Though both arrests are sure to bring some peace just days removed from the horrific incident, the news comes as family and friends of Johnson and Thomas are preparing to send their final farewell this weekend. 

      Suspect Arrested In Shooting Death Of Doe B

      Funeral services for Johnson and Doe B are scheduled for Saturday (January 4), both slated to be held at True Divine Baptist Church on Troy Highway in Montgomery, Alabama. Johnson's service will be held at 10 a.m., while Doe B's service will follow at 2 p.m. A public visitation for Johnson, a Troy University student, will be held at the church at 9 a.m. Meanwhile, public visitation for Doe B is scheduled for Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at E.G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home located at 1120 Bragg St. 

      On December 28, in the wee hours of the morning, MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 900 block of Highland Avenue following up on a report of multiple subjects shot. Inside the Centennial Hill Bar and Grill, authorities located Johnson and Thomas, who had sustained gunshot wounds. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, as Thomas was transported to Baptist Medical Center South, where he was later pronounced dead. Six additional victims were located with gunshot wounds. All were transported from the scene or by personal vehicle to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

      Police are still investigating the motive behind the shooting, but as REVOLT previously reported, Doe B and McWilliams had a history of ongoing disputes. It's unknown what role Darius Thomas may have played in the double-homicide.
