— Houston Police (@houstonpolice) January 31, 2022Young was last seen on December 9, 2021, driving his 2019 Silver Honda Civic in the area of 1600 block of South Voss Road at the Capital One Bank.Young's mother, Tiffany Robinson, and his best friend Christian Gorgy spoke to ABC13 of their anguish and confusion at his body being found in Dallas.
Before Young's body was discovered, Robinson said she felt her son was in danger as it was out of character for him to not notify his family of his whereabouts.
Gorgy, who has known Young since sixth grade, said he could not think of any reason anyone would want to hurt his friend.
"He had no enemies. Everybody loved him. He didn't owe anybody money. He had no addictions. He didn't do drugs. It just makes absolutely no sense at all," Gorgy said.
After her son's body was discovered, Robinson took to Facebook to thank all those who helped in finding him and the time she was able to share with her son.
"I am so thankful that God blessed me with Taylour. I am proud of the man he matured into," she wrote in her post.
"As I shared Taylour's disappearance with the world, I want to share my worldly loss as well.
"I lost my son, my baby, my friend and will raise his love, his dog, Gigi."
She also called for privacy as she and her family deal with this news.
"During Taylour's family time of mourning, I ask that you continue to lift us up in prayer.
"Be mindful and respectful of our privacy and the fact that the investigation is still ongoing."
Gorgy shared his own message to Facebook thanking Young for years of friendship and guidance.
"The hardest days in my life pale in comparison to today, because the one person that got me through the hardest most traumatic times of my life is no longer with me," he wrote.
"My heart is broken. Taylour was my brother, my best friend, my role model, mentor, therapist.
"The person I could turn to for anything know they would know what to do, got me through the darkest moments of my life.
"I can confidently say if it wasn't for Taylour Young, I would not be alive today."
He closed by saying: "I love you forever T Young. Brother's for life.
"To miss Tiffany, I want you to know that I will always be here for you no matter what for the rest of my life."
